One reader's blunt message to the new Congress: America can't afford your ego trips anymore

I sincerely hope that the new U.S. House and Senate members will move to running our country, as opposed to the last ten years where coarse words and vile attacks were the norm. We are facing several existential threats. Legislators need to check their egos at the door and stop their zero-sum games so they can work for the benefit of all Americans. No more petty bickering and no more vindictiveness.
